Great place for pizza and salad. Food was fantastic. Pizza was huge! Family of 4 and we only ate half. Staff friendly as well.
Grabbed a couple thick crust slices to-go and the kid couldn't have been happier! The slices were huge. Imagine Golden Boy in SF but twice the size, juicier and with the option to add any toping!
3.5 stars Our first dinner in Truckee, we were intrigued by the bruschetta pockets, and many pizzas sounded nice. The place was well lit and friendly. I got a barrel aged Manhattan, which was average. For two people, it was plenty of food, so we had leftovers. Reasonably good thiin crust.
Wow! We walked in here initially just to use the restroom, but the kids menu met with my kiddo's approval, and we decided to stay. We weren't in a pizza mood, so we got the winter salad and vodka gnocchi. Both were amazing! Best salad I've had in a _long_ time, and the gnocchi was incredible too. What a find! I've only had the pizza as take out, so can't comment as to what it's like fresh, but we'll definitely be back for the kids pasta with pesto sauce (off menu, but you can ask for it), the salad, and gnocchi. The juicy IPA I had was also delicious!
Came here on a whim while visiting truckee. The service was great and the food and drinks came out quickly. Highly recommend the Garbage pie and the Alfredo pie. Bar is well stocked, they have foosball, a pinball machine, and a couple large TVs perfect for watching sports. Would definitely come back.
Amazing experience at this pizzeria! Our server Ron was absolutely fantastic. The service is great, the pizza is great, and the drinks are reasonably priced. 10/10 would recommend!!
So we saw the reviews and had our doubts but we were pleasantly surprised. The Caprese salad was great and the addition of the roasted red peppers was just right. We split a bbq chicken pizza and aside from having a bit too much bbq sauce, the pizza was great. Crispy thin crust, good cheese and onions. Overall this is a safe place to eat in town.
Best Pies Pizzeria and Restaurant located in downtown Truckee, California had excellent food, service, and ambiance. Nick was our attentive and friendly server. Our party of four was seated quite quickly and kindly. The pizza was quite light and did not skimp on ingredients such as the toppings. The ingredients tasted fresh and the toppings appeared fresh. Furthermore the pizza was not greasy nor too crust heavy. Even my mom who is very particular in what she eats was quite impressed and actually ate a slice of pizza. This is a rare impressive moment for my mother who is not a fan of pizza to consume a slice. Our part of four had two pizzas named Donner and the Vegetable. Both pizzas were huge and appeared as well as smelled fresh. To drink I had an Arnold Palmer however there are other nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages on the menu. As far as the ambiance sitting outside on a summer day in Truckee, California is quite a delight compared to the Central Valley. The Pizzeria is located in the heart of Downtown Truckee where the views of mountains and pine trees can be seen. Glad the restaurant made use of a patio area to capture not only the location but the opportunity to people watch. Lastly, the eating areas and bathrooms including the patio area appeared clean. As the Solo reviewer this establishment appears to an excellent place for groups and those who are solo. Already looking forward to my next visit on a future road trip.
